Xbox CEO Asha Sharma cites poor business health in move to cut 3,200 roles and offload 4 studios
On Monday, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma revealed a plan to eliminate 3,200 positions by the end of fiscal year 2027, stating that the company's current business state is unhealthy. As part of this reorganization, Ninja Theory, Double Fine, Compulsion Games, and Undead Labs will be divested from Xbox. Sharma also noted that the company intends to streamline its hierarchy, limiting management levels to a maximum of five, with a preference for three where feasible.
