Desai claims the movie bears a striking resemblance to a script he presented earlier in 2024. In response, Kathha Pictures has dismissed these allegations, labeling them as entirely "false and baseless." The production house stated, "Gandhari is an original work, written and produced by Kanika Dhillon and developed by Kathha Pictures."
