Wrestler Deepak removed from Asian Games team following doping violation
Greco-Roman wrestler Deepak, who competes in the 67 kg category, has been handed a provisional suspension by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) due to a failed drug test. Consequently, the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has removed him from the 2026 Asian Games roster. Deepak is now the third athlete to face suspension for doping, following similar cases involving Deepanshu in the 130 kg Greco-Roman class and Mukul Dahiya in the 86 kg freestyle division.
