World Hepatitis Day: AIIMS highlights liver failure risks
On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day 2026, AIIMS New Delhi reported that Hepatitis A and E are responsible for approximately 30% of acute liver failure instances across India. Specialists emphasized that access to clean drinking water, immunization, prompt diagnosis, and early medical intervention are essential to avoiding serious liver conditions. Additionally, the country remains significantly impacted by Hepatitis B, C, and fatty liver disease.
