Why is the Prambanan Temple, visited by PM Modi in Indonesia, so important?
Located in Indonesia, the Prambanan Temple is the nation's biggest Hindu temple site and holds UNESCO World Heritage status. Constructed during the ninth century, it was later deserted in the tenth century. A significant portion of the 240 structures, which honor Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma, have suffered damage throughout history. Prime Minister Narendra Modi toured the location, as India has pledged to assist in the restoration of the temple grounds.
