Users can no longer use the portal to activate their Universal Account Number (UAN) or create a new UAN. Instead, these facilities have been shifted to the UMANG app using Aadhaar-based Face Authentication. Additionally, the updated portal now features a more straightforward process for retrieving a UAN.
