West Bengal woman finds nearly ₹100 crore in bank account while checking LPG subsidy
A 36-year-old woman identified as Kashmira Sheikh had her bank account frozen after discovering a balance of ₹99,99,99,997, which is only ₹3 less than ₹100 crore. Sheikh had gone to a Punjab National Bank branch in West Bengal to verify if her LPG cylinder subsidy had been deposited when she was shocked to see the amount. Sheikh, who works doing zari embroidery, resides in a modest house with an asbestos roof.
