VVS Laxman likely to become BCCI's inaugural Director of Cricket
According to reports, former Indian batsman VVS Laxman is expected to take on the role of the BCCI's first-ever Director of Cricket starting next month. Laxman is currently in charge of the board's Centre of Excellence. In this new position, he will oversee cricket operations, which includes managing staff recruitment, development pathways, and coordinating with selectors and coaches. This role is expected to position him higher in the organizational structure than head coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar.
