Ahead of the Raksha Bandhan festival, a large group of elderly widows residing in Vrindavan ashrams have created 1,100 rakhis for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On Sunday, these women assembled at a gathering hosted by the social group Sulabh International to prepare and pack the rakhis. According to the organization's executive convenor, a delegation of five widows will head to Delhi to personally deliver the rakhis to the Prime Minister on the day of the festival.
