Video of theft attempt during donation counting at Gujarat's Ambaji Temple emerges
A two-month-old CCTV recording has surfaced, capturing Chirag Thakor, an outsourced worker, trying to pocket more than ₹1 lakh while counting donations at the Shakti Peeth Ambaji Temple in the Banaskantha district of Gujarat. An inquiry into the incident revealed that two additional outsourced staff members were also implicated. In response, the temple trust has implemented a revised standard operating procedure for the donation counting process.
