Uttarakhand becomes first state to set up 'Agniveer Rozgar Cell'
The Uttarakhand Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has given the green light to a specialized Agniveer Employment Cell, marking the first such initiative by any state. This cell is designed to assist former Agniveers as they transition into civilian life by providing job opportunities, self-employment support, career counseling, and skill training. Under the Agnipath Scheme, Agniveers complete a four-year service tenure, with up to 25% of each batch being permanently absorbed into the Armed Forces.
