The US Senate has officially confirmed Todd Blanche as the new Attorney General, placing President Donald Trump’s former personal defense attorney in charge of the country's primary law enforcement agency. The confirmation passed with a tight 50-49 vote. Blanche had been serving as Acting Attorney General following the departure of Pam Bondi in April. He has been a member of Trump’s legal defense team since 2023.
