US Navy operations against Iran have diverted 35 ships
According to CENTCOM, as of August 2, the US has diverted 35 commercial ships, incapacitated two, and conducted boardings on two others as part of its naval blockade targeting Iran. In a post featuring footage of a Marine Corps F-35C jet departing from an aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea, the command stated that the stealth fighter is assisting in the US-led blockade of Iran. The US reinstated these blockade measures after a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) fell through.
