US H-1B visa costs set to rise; Indian applicants to face impact
The US Department of Homeland Security is looking to increase the H-1B visa fee to $103,265, which is roughly ₹98 lakh. This change is expected to hit Indian nationals hard, as they make up about 70% of those who receive these visas. Additionally, the department suggested removing the 60-day grace period for H-1B visa holders, which would require workers to exit the US right away if they are laid off.
