US economy could gain $7.7 trillion from birthright citizenship: Report
According to a new study, individuals who receive birthright citizenship are expected to add $7.7 trillion to the US economy throughout their lives. The research estimates a contribution of $4.2 trillion from working-age adults born between 1960 and 2009, $2.6 trillion from children born from 2010 to 2024, and $927 billion from future children born by 2044. This comes after the US Supreme Court recently stopped President Trump's attempt to terminate automatic birthright citizenship.
