US doesn't need to certify J&K's status, says Mehbooba Mufti
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti stated that there is no reason to place excessive importance on the US, following Ambassador Sergio Gor's comment that J&K is a key part of India. She remarked, "They are not our masters to issue us a certificate before a dialogue can take place." Gor had recently traveled to J&K and held a meeting with CM Omar Abdullah.
