US court blocks Trump administration from deporting students for anti-Israel views
A federal judge in California declared on Friday that the Trump administration infringed upon constitutional free-speech rights by penalizing noncitizens who expressed opposition to Israel’s military actions in Gaza. Judge Noël Wise sided with The Stanford Daily, the Stanford University student publication, after it reported that international students were hesitant to voice their opinions out of concern that they might face deportation.
