UP: Elephants seen shielding calves in strong river currents
A clip captured three grown elephants struggling against powerful currents in the Kaudiyala River in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, while trying to keep two calves safe. The adults remained by the calves' sides as the intense water flow pushed the group toward the Girijapuri Barrage. Following this, the forest and irrigation departments teamed up for a rescue mission, successfully guiding all five elephants to the bank.
