UP doctor celebrates 9,000 newborn girls across 900 villages
In 2019, Dr. Ebha Patel from Khadepur, Uttar Pradesh, started the “Ghar Ayee Nanhi Pari” campaign. The project has now expanded to approximately 900 villages throughout Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, honoring more than 9,000 infant girls. During events held at local panchayat offices, mothers and their newborn daughters were presented with certificates. Additionally, the program has supported the rollout of nearly 600 state welfare schemes and bolstered the operations of Anganwadi centres.
