Umpire rushed to ICU after being struck in the face by a cricket ball during DPL match
During a Delhi Premier League (DPL) game between the New Delhi Tigers and East Delhi Riders at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, umpire Dharmesh Bhardwaj was struck on the right side of his face. The injury happened in the 18th over when a straight drive hit by Lakshay Thareja accidentally struck him. Following the incident, Bhardwaj was taken to the ICU for treatment. He had previously been hit on the shoulder during an earlier match in the same tournament.
