A man from the UK has been reunited with Barney, his African grey parrot, almost ten years after the bird was taken during a 2017 break-in. Barney was discovered roaming an IKEA car park and was tracked back to his owner using a microchip. Animal rescuer Gemma Dumbill located the owner, Robert Mortimer, who had held onto the bird’s cage for nine years in the hope that he would eventually come back.
