UGC-NET English and Commerce exams cancelled due to 60% question overlap: Report
A recent report suggests that the UGC-NET 2026 exams for English and Commerce were likely scrapped because 60% of the questions were essentially copied from the December 2024 test held by the National Testing Agency (NTA). According to sources, some repetition was also observed in the Geography paper. It is worth noting that the NTA officially attributed the cancellation of the English, Commerce, and Sociology exams to typographical mistakes.
