Tukaram Mundhe advises against purchasing loose edible oil
Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe has appealed to the public to avoid buying loose edible oil, noting that it is hard to identify the producer if food poisoning occurs. He further explained that poor packaging, improper handling, and the repeated use of such oil can lead to heart issues, cancer, and hinder the mental growth of children. The FDA is now preparing to implement more rigorous monitoring of the edible oil supply chain.
