Three prison employees, among them a chief warder, have been taken into custody following the death of 35-year-old Sabari Varman. Varman, a grocery shop owner with a disability, passed away from various injuries while held at a sub-jail in Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu. He had been detained over accusations of having 200 grams of illegal gutka.
