The reason European roads melt in extreme heat while Indian roads hold up
During intense heatwaves, some roads in Europe have started to melt. This is a rare sight in India, even though the country frequently experiences similar high temperatures. The asphalt used to pave roads can become soft when exposed to extreme heat. The main reason for this difference is how the roads are designed; European infrastructure is built for milder weather, whereas Indian roads are specifically engineered to withstand much higher heat levels and heavy traffic.
