According to a report by ThePrint, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has withdrawn terror-related accusations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against American Matthew VanDyke and six individuals from Ukraine. The group had been detained over claims that they were providing training to ethnic armed factions in Myanmar that oppose India. In the formal chargesheet submitted, the NIA has instead charged them under provisions of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.
