Tencent considers Manus investment following Meta's failed $2 billion acquisition
According to a Reuters report, Chinese gaming giant Tencent is currently negotiating to secure a majority stake in the AI company Manus. This move follows Beijing's directive requiring Meta to reverse its $2 billion purchase of the startup. Tencent intends to collaborate with current Manus investors to repurchase the firm for a minimum of $2 billion. In April, China initiated an investigation to determine if Meta's transaction violated local investment regulations.
