Telangana: BRS MLCs held for casteist insults against Assembly Speaker
On Tuesday, Telangana Police took BRS MLCs Tata Madhusudhan and N Naveen Kumar into custody under the SC/ST Act. The arrests follow accusations that the duo used caste-based slurs and offensive language toward Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar. A formal complaint had been filed by the Speaker’s office regarding the incident. Meanwhile, CM Revanth Reddy has called on the BRS party to issue an apology.
