Telangana BJP state chief N Ramchander Rao was held by police in Hyderabad following a violent altercation between BJP and Congress supporters in Nalgonda. Authorities were forced to use a lathi-charge to break up the fighting. The incident began when BJYM members reportedly threw black paint on posters featuring Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and a local legislator. In response, Congress members targeted the BJP's district headquarters, which sparked the subsequent clashes.
