Teenager Unnati Hooda victorious in first-ever World Badminton Championships appearance
Indian badminton player Unnati Hooda secured a win in her opening match at the Badminton World Championships held in Delhi on Tuesday. The 18-year-old triumphed over Myanmar's Thet Htar Thuzar, ranked 140th globally, with a score of 22-20, 21-16 in the women's singles opening round. Moving forward, Unnati is set to compete against Canada's Michelle Li, who holds the 13th spot in world rankings.
