Teacher's suicide in Gurdaspur linked to SIR exercise stress
Punjab has recorded its first fatality connected to the SIR exercise after a government school teacher took his own life on Tuesday in Gurdaspur. Before the incident, Gurpreet Singh had told a fellow teacher that he was suffering from extreme mental pressure because of the SIR exercise and intended to end his life.
