Tamil Nadu government to gift gold coins and silk sarees for weddings, gold rings for newborns
Under the 'Annan Seer Thittam' scheme, introduced in the inaugural budget of CM Joseph Vijay’s administration, women in Tamil Nadu will receive an eight-gram gold coin along with a silk saree upon marriage. Additionally, the 'Thai Maaman Thanga Mothiram Thittam' initiative will provide a one-gram gold ring to every baby born in a state-run hospital.
