Tamil Nadu Assembly votes to end NEET; BJP MLA leaves in protest
On Tuesday, the Tamil Nadu Assembly approved a resolution seeking the removal of the national medical entrance test, NEET, which was introduced by the CM Vijay administration. Health Minister K Arunraj stated that NEET undermines social justice, equality, and the rights of the state. While the DMK and AIADMK parties backed the move, the state's only BJP legislator walked out of the session while the resolution was being presented.
