Tamil Nadu Assembly votes against Centre's FCRA Amendment Bill
The Tamil Nadu Assembly has passed a unanimous resolution to express opposition to the Centre's Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026. The state administration has requested that the central government retract the bill in its current version. While introducing the resolution, Tamil Nadu Minister Thiru Rajmohan stated that the proposed legislation might negatively affect hospitals, schools, and various other entities that rely on foreign funding.
