Tamil Nadu allocates ₹300 crore to upgrade government schools; laptops and cycles for students
On Wednesday, Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Marie Wilson introduced the TVK administration's inaugural Budget in the Assembly. The state has set aside ₹300 crore to renovate 3,734 government-run schools. Additionally, ₹2,000 crore has been designated for the 'Vettri Madikanini Thittam' laptop program for college students, while ₹277 crore was set aside to distribute bicycles to students in Class 11.
