A court in Delhi has handed down life sentences to former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain and four co-defendants for the killing of Intelligence Bureau staffer Ankit Sharma in 2020. On February 25, 2020, Sharma was reportedly kidnapped, severely beaten, and stabbed by a group of people while he was attempting to de-escalate violence in the Chand Bagh neighborhood of Delhi. His remains were discovered in a local drain the following day.
