Sweets may get costlier as rising ingredient prices dent makers' profits
Moneycontrol reported that sweet shops are facing an almost 10% rise in production expenses due to the increasing costs of sugar, milk, ghee, butter, dry fruits, and saffron. This surge has impacted their profit margins just before the festive season begins. Consequently, Jaipur's Tyohaar Sweets has raised its rates by 5%, and Bengaluru's Lal Sweets is planning a 6-8% hike. Sweet Bengal is also contemplating a price increase of 2-3%.
