Supreme Court seeks response from Centre, CBSE, and NCERT regarding three-language rule
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court sent notices to the Central government, CBSE, and NCERT concerning new pleas that contest the rollout of a three-language policy for Class 9 pupils starting in the 2026-27 school year. The bench gave the parties involved 10 days to submit their responses and set the following hearing for July 22. The court also remarked that acquiring knowledge of a language is always beneficial.
