Supreme Court restricts live streaming for self-represented litigants following courtroom outburst
The Supreme Court has updated its hearing protocols following an incident where petitioner-in-person Prabal Pratap shouted insults at CJI Surya Kant and threw documents during a session. Under the new rules, individuals representing themselves will be directed to attend hearings virtually. Should they choose to appear in person, the court will no longer allow the live streaming or video recording of those specific proceedings.
