Supreme Court grants relief to Bhagwant Mann, says sloganeering is part of democracy
The Supreme Court has provided relief to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann by refusing to entertain a petition from the Chandigarh administration. The administration had challenged a Punjab and Haryana High Court ruling that dismissed a rioting case against the CM. The top court remarked that sloganeering is a common occurrence in a democracy. The legal case originated from a protest led by Mann back in 2020.
