Study highlights frequent end-of-life visions

A study conducted by researchers at Azienda USL–IRCCS di Reggio Emilia in Italy involved surveying 239 palliative-care experts. The findings indicate that individuals approaching the end of their lives often report intense dreams or visions. These occurrences frequently feature departed family members, radiant lights, doorways, or metaphorical travel. Although these episodes are often described as soothing and tranquil, they can occasionally be unsettling for the patient.
