Srinagar gets its first 'Waste to Wonder' park featuring scrap art
On Friday, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah opened Srinagar’s inaugural 'Waste to Wonder' park located near Polo View. The floral garden showcases various art pieces crafted from junk, such as an old Ambassador vehicle, a traditional Kashmiri tonga, a tractor, and used tires. Approximately 90% of the components used were either refurbished or recycled. This year-round garden is designed to encourage sustainable landscaping practices and the concept of reusing materials.
