Sri Lanka police seize ₹198-crore meth haul linked to Pakistan
The Police Narcotics Bureau in Sri Lanka confiscated approximately 463 kg of high-grade crystal meth, valued at more than ₹198 crore, at the Colombo Port. The drugs were hidden within a consignment of bath towels that arrived from Pakistan. Multiple individuals, including citizens of Pakistan, have been taken into custody. Officials stated that the criminal network intended to utilize Sri Lanka as a central transit point for smuggling narcotics globally.
