Sports Ministry puts Table Tennis Federation of India on hold
The Sports Ministry has revoked the recognition of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) due to issues with its management and the postponement of elections. The ministry has instructed the Indian Olympic Association to establish an ad-hoc panel, in coordination with the International Table Tennis Federation, to oversee the sport until a new elected body is in place. According to the ministry, the explanation provided by the TTFI regarding its notice was not acceptable.
