SpiceJet disbursing employee salaries in installments due to financial strain
According to a CNBC-TV18 report, SpiceJet has cleared May salary dues for its junior and support personnel, while the rest of the workforce is receiving payments in stages as the airline grapples with a cash crunch. The carrier is currently running approximately 85 flights per day, a drop from its planned 140, and is also dealing with an insolvency case. Additionally, SpiceJet's share of the domestic market fell to 1.9% in June, compared to 3.9% at the start of the year in January.
