Sovereign Gold Bond investors see 361% gains on early exit
The Reserve Bank of India has set the early redemption rate at ₹15,102 for the Sovereign Gold Bond 2018-19 Series-VI, which was originally launched on February 12, 2019. Those who purchased these bonds online at the initial discounted rate of ₹3,276 per gram have realized a return of approximately 361%. Consequently, a ₹1 lakh investment made at the time of issuance has grown to roughly ₹4.61 lakh, not including the interest payments received.
