Leading music publishers, including Warner Chappell and Sony Music, have initiated legal action against Anthropic, citing extensive copyright violations. The complaint targets co-founders Benjamin Mann and Dario Amodei, alleging that the firm engaged in the unauthorized downloading, scraping, and torrenting of protected material. According to the publishers, Anthropic utilized thousands of copyrighted works to develop its Claude AI system.
