Six banks to make ₹395 crore from Chinese chipmaker's ₹82,000-crore IPO

Six banks in China are set to generate $41 million (₹394.91 crore) in fee income from the $8.6 billion (over ₹82,000 crore) initial public offering of ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT), which is Asia's largest IPO so far this year. Highlighting its robust bargaining position, CXMT locked in a fee rate of just 0.48%, which is significantly lower than the 4.52% average typically seen for A-share IPOs. Reports indicate that CXMT is scheduled to make its debut on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on July 27.
