Sister saves brother’s life by donating kidney before Rakshabandhan
In a heartwarming gesture before Rakshabandhan, 47-year-old Jyoti Meghnathi from Junagadh donated a kidney to her 44-year-old brother. The recipient, a primary school teacher based in Morbi, had been suffering from chronic kidney disease. The successful transplant procedure took place on August 25 at Marengo CIMS Hospital in Ahmedabad. Following the surgery, both siblings are currently in stable condition and recovering.
