The Sirsa kinnow from Haryana has been officially granted a Geographical Indication (GI) tag in the horticulture category. According to officials, this is the very first fruit as well as the first agricultural product from Haryana to earn a GI tag. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that this recognition will give the fruit a fresh identity both nationally and internationally.
